Would you like to take on technical responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future of modern compressor technology? As a Senior Engineer in Contract Engineering at Mehrer, you will develop and design reciprocating compressors as well as compressor-based units and systems, and contribute your expertise to our machine designs, standards and engineering processes.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Contract Engineering Engineer (m/f/d)
- Development and design of piston compressors, as well as compressor-based units and systems
- Responsibility for machine concepts, from technical design through to production approval
- Implementation of customer-specific requirements, taking into account standardisation and cost-effectiveness
- Further development of modularisation, standardisation and modular design concepts, as well as associated design guidelines and variant logic
- Ensuring compliance with standards, including risk assessments and conformity assessments
- Technical point of contact for complex engineering issues
- Further development of processes, methods and digital engineering solutions
Your profile
- A degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification
- Several years’ professional experience in the development or design of piston compressors, process compressors or similar machinery
- In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science and mechanical design
- Experience with standardisation, modularisation and modular design concepts
- Proficiency in dealing with standards, guidelines and conformity requirements
- A structured approach to work, a high degree of initiative and excellent communication skills
