Would you like to take on technical responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future of modern compressor technology? As a Senior Engineer in Contract Engineering at Mehrer, you will develop and design reciprocating compressors as well as compressor-based units and systems, and contribute your expertise to our machine designs, standards and engineering processes.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Contract Engineering Engineer (m/f/d)

Development and design of piston compressors, as well as compressor-based units and systems
Responsibility for machine concepts, from technical design through to production approval
Implementation of customer-specific requirements, taking into account standardisation and cost-effectiveness
Further development of modularisation, standardisation and modular design concepts, as well as associated design guidelines and variant logic
Ensuring compliance with standards, including risk assessments and conformity assessments
Technical point of contact for complex engineering issues
Further development of processes, methods and digital engineering solutions

Your profile

A degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification
Several years’ professional experience in the development or design of piston compressors, process compressors or similar machinery
In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science and mechanical design
Experience with standardisation, modularisation and modular design concepts
Proficiency in dealing with standards, guidelines and conformity requirements
A structured approach to work, a high degree of initiative and excellent communication skills
