Service Mechanic

(m/f/d)

As a Service Technician – comparable to a field service technician – you are responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of piston and diaphragm compressors as well as complete compressor systems. You analyze mechanical and electrical faults, perform diagnostics and ensure the reliable operation of our equipment.

Mehrer develops and manufactures industrial compressors in Balingen for applications in industry and energy technology. As part of your service assignments, you support commissioning activities, carry out technical inspections and assist with on-site system optimizations at customer locations.

Your responsibilities as a service
engineer (m/f/d)

  • You are responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing compressors, aggregates, and systems worldwide
  • Errors and malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components are analyzed and corrected
  • Deliver on-site customer training, conduct functional tests, and carry out precise system adjustments
  • Perform mechanical and electrical modifications while strictly adhering to all safety requirements

Your profile

  • You have completed training as an industrial mechanic with additional qualification in electrical engineering or hold a comparable qualification
  • Ideally, you have multiple years of experience in a comparable role in the field of mechanical engineering
  • You have good English skills, both written and spoken, and communicate fluently in German, particularly in direct exchanges with customers in Germany
  • You are proficient in using PCs and standard software applications, including Office and ERP systems, with a strong focus on problem-solving
  • Defined by strong teamwork, openness, and cultural sensitivity
  • Your readiness to travel and adaptability allow for global customer deployments, while ensuring autonomous and responsible work
