Mehrer provides hydrogen car
for training course

The energy transition in Germany is gaining momentum. According to data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority, new registrations of vehicles with alternative drive systems are rising sharply every year, with an impressive increase of +98.5 per cent compared to the previous year. This makes it clear that there will be more and more of these vehicles on our roads in the future.

It is particularly important that emergency services such as the fire service are also prepared for this new technology. As part of a squad leader course, which took place in the Zollernalb district, the firefighters were trained by their instructors in the use of alternative drive systems.

A special highlight for the participants was the hydrogen car from Mehrer Compression GmbH, which was provided as a demonstration vehicle. For many emergency services who had no previous experience with hydrogen vehicles, it was a fascinating and instructive opportunity to experience this advanced technology at first hand. Like Mehrer Compression, the fire service is ready to face up to the challenges of the energy transition and remain fit for the future.
