On 2 September 2020, it was announced that the state of Baden-Württemberg intends to intensively promote the further development of the regional hydrogen economy with a hydrogen roadmap. As a manufacturer of oil-free piston and diaphragm compressors for H2 compression, Mehrer Compression GmbH is proud to be actively involved in this roadmap and to contribute its extensive expertise as an experienced infrastructure supplier for hydrogen technologies.
The objectives of the hydrogen roadmap, which is currently in the initial dialogue process, include the defossilisation of industry, mobility and the energy sector, support for the development and expansion of the hydrogen economy and the definition of specific measures to achieve the objectives.

Various topics and approaches were introduced over the summer, which will be explored in greater depth in workshops and focus groups this autumn. A comprehensive roadmap will be drawn up on this basis. By the end of 2020, the plan is to start implementing the targets set with a joint declaration by the stakeholders involved. The project is being led by the Ministry of the Environment and supported by other important ministries such as the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Science as well as e-mobil BW.

We are delighted to be able to play an active role in shaping the hydrogen strategy in our home state of Baden-Württemberg. In addition to our highly specialised compressor solutions for H2 compression, we are also contributing to a more sustainable future.
