This year’s summer party once again gave Mehrer’s staff the opportunity to socialise outside the context of their everyday working lives and enjoy a varied afternoon together.

As is tradition, the apprentices and dual-study students took charge of the organisation. From planning and decoration to catering and running the event, they managed the occasion largely independently and ensured everything ran smoothly.

In keeping with the Football World Cup, this year’s summer party had a sporting theme. The appropriate decorations, music and numerous football shirts created the perfect atmosphere. A highlight of the programme was the table football tournament, in which several teams competed against one another.

Alongside the sporting programme, the focus was above all on personal conversations and exchanges between the various departments. Over a shared meal in a relaxed atmosphere, colleagues had the opportunity to get to know one another better outside their usual working environment.

As part of the summer party, Armin Keller was also given a send-off after more than 45 years with the company. We are dedicating a separate article to his long service and his exceptional commitment.
