Aftersales Engineer

As an after-sales engineer – comparable to a service engineer, customer service engineer or technical after-sales specialist – you will be responsible for supporting our piston and diaphragm compressors throughout their entire life cycle at Mehrer. You will be the technical contact person for customers and service partners and will ensure that our systems can be operated reliably and economically worldwide.

Mehrer develops and manufactures industrial compressors for applications in industry and energy technology in Balingen. As an after-sales engineer, you will provide support for technical enquiries, coordinate service and spare parts issues, accompany retrofit and optimisation projects, and actively contribute your expertise to the further development of our products and services.

Your responsibilities as a Aftersales Engineer

  • In 1st and 2nd level support, you will assist customers and service teams with technical issues and contribute to a smooth after-sales process.
  • As an after-sales engineer, providing sound advice on the operation, maintenance and servicing of our gas compressors is part of your daily responsibilities.
  • You will process technical enquiries and service orders in a structured manner, reliably clarify issues and provide technical support for key account customers.
  • As a Customer Service Engineer, you will ensure high data quality when maintaining customer, machine and plant data in the ERP system and create parts lists and spare parts proposals.
  • By creating maintenance plans and service contracts and participating in retrofit and conversion projects, you will make a valuable contribution to the further development of our after-sales service offering.

Your profile

  • Your ability to confidently read technical drawings, parts lists and exploded views, as well as your strong technical understanding of machinery, distinguish you as an experienced after-sales engineer.
  • You are experienced in using the ERP system and maintain technical data in a precise and structured manner.
  • With very good written and spoken German and English skills, you communicate confidently and in a service-oriented manner with customers and internal interfaces.
  • A strong customer focus, ability to work in a team and work independently and with clear priorities – including a willingness to travel occasionally – round off your profile as an after-sales specialist.
