Mobile piston compressor for natural gas reinjection
Application | Natural gas backfeed
Country | Germany
Challenge
When natural gas is transported via pipelines, residual gases are often left behind which cannot be fully utilised without the appropriate technology. At the same time, flexible deployment at different locations is required.
Solution
Reciprocating compressors enable the recovery and compression of residual gases and ensure their efficient re-injection into the system.
Designed for variable operating conditions, the compressor can be deployed flexibly and adapted to different requirements.
Implementation in Germany
A reciprocating compressor was integrated into a mobile containerised system for a plant manufacturer in the oil and gas industry. This allows the plant to be deployed at various locations and easily transported.
The compressor enables the reliable re-injection of natural gas and supports the efficient use of existing resources.
Results
- Recovery and re-injection of residual gases
- Flexible deployment thanks to a mobile container system
- Efficient use of existing natural gas resources
- Reduction of emissions
