Mehrer Family Day 2025

We opened our doors on 12 July - and around 300 guests accepted our invitation. Employees came with their families, friends and companions, and many of our former colleagues also took the opportunity to return. The day was a real encounter with what Mehrer is all about: solidarity, openness and enthusiasm for what we do.

After the welcome address by Jörg-Peter Mehrer, voices from the region also had their say. Lord Mayor Dirk Abel and Mayor Ermilio Verrengia spoke about the role of industry for our home region - and responded to questions from the Mehrer team. Later, HBW head coach Matti Flohr gave personal insights into his work in an interview - direct, personable and very close to the action.

Discover, experience, join in
Those who wanted to could join one of the guided tours - with our managers as guides. Those who preferred to set off on their own explored the many themed stations on the site: from Mehrer Holding and CO₂ and H₂ applications to our values, projects and future plans.

There was also plenty on offer outside. Children played, did handicrafts, jumped - or faced Magnus Biefreund from HBW in a seven-metre duel at the handball goal. He stood in goal, they threw - and clearly had fun doing it. Adults chatted to each other, laughed together at the photo box, tested out the multi-player table football or fortified themselves at the food trucks.

One special event was spontaneously created: a helium balloon station with a self-built circuit in the training workshop. A rocket launcher in assembly. A super air cannon to try out. Technology became an experience - with a lot of initiative and passion from the team.

A day to remember
The family day was not an event. It was a real symbol. For togetherness that lasts. For a company that shows its colours. And for people who are proud to be part of it.

Thank you to everyone who took part, thought along and helped.
We are Mehrer. And that's exactly what you could feel.
